Lung Function Variability Study in Children

Dear parents and children,

The lung function variability (LUV) study is a multicenter observational study supervised by the Pediatric Respiratory Unit of the University Hospital of Patras, Greece.

Our aim is to develop a telematic system for monitoring the level of asthma control in children and adolescents, based on the short- and long-term variability of lung function.

This study is the first to analyze the variability of spirometric parameters in real time in children. It is also the first in which the measurements are performed using ultra-portable spirometers, capable of smartphone connection and real-time transmission of data to a central database.

We are convinced that your active participation will ensure the success of this study.

Thank you!

The research team
